Artography is not a new term, it is an obvious combination of art and photography - one that describes my work perfectly. While most of my images begin with a photographic process, I have never defined myself strictly as a photographer. Photography is a beautiful art form in and of itself, and yet I often desire more from a solitary frame shot through my camera lens. I enjoy experimenting with imagery - adding paint, layers, shapes, color, double exposure - to transform it into something “other" and unique.
